At Marita Foundation, we are proud of the impact we have made through our past projects. With a focus on improving the lives of underserved communities in Uganda, we have implemented various initiatives that have brought positive change. These past projects reflect our commitment to empowering communities, promoting hygiene, and ensuring access to clean water. We are dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of underserved populations in Uganda.
We have provided 100 goats to 15 women groups in Bulambuli district, enabling economic empowerment and self-sustainability. Each group, comprising a minimum of 10 women, received goats to start their own herds, fostering economic independence and improving livelihoods.
Through 30 outreach programs, we educated communities on sanitation and hygiene practices. We focused on topics such as safe drinking water, proper handwashing, and clean utensil management. By raising awareness, we promoted healthier habits and enhanced overall hygiene within the communities.
In schools and health Centre IV, we established solar-powered water purification systems. These systems provide clean and safe drinking water, benefiting students, staff, and the wider community. By implementing sustainable water solutions, we contribute to disease prevention and improved well-being.
The Marita Foundation Piglet Project is an initiative aimed at empowering small-scale farmers and fostering sustainable farming practices. By donating to this project, you are directly investing in rural communities, enabling farmers to create a secure and sustainable income source. Your contribution helps us provide piglets to farmers, which not only enhances their livestock but also increases their productivity, contributing to food security and economic stability.
